Major Jackson "Dipper" Spencer was an officer in the Colonial Fleet, who served in the late 10s BCH (YR90) as Commander, Air Group (CAG) for Galactica ahead of its decommissioning.
Biography[]
On the morning of Galactica's decommissioning, Spencer had to hold back Col. Saul Tigh when he began fighting with Lt. Kara Thrace over a Triad game. With Thrace in the brig, he assigned Lt. Anders to her position in the planned Galactica fly-past, which saw twenty Mark VII Vipers and one Mark II Viper fly over Galactica's starboard flight pod. Following this display, Spencer led the Mark VIIs away from Galactica to be reassigned. During transit, reports were picked-up of a massive Cylon strike on Colonial defenses. When two Raiders were detected by their accompanying Raptor, the squadron engaged them. Due to the Cylons' successful crack of CNP, a software installed in the Mark VIIs, the squadron's Vipers all lost power before they entered weapons' range, and Spencer was killed by a missile impact.[1]
